Physical Fitness

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it it the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong." -President John F. Kennedy

While I personally do not agree with this quote, I still think it makes a good point. For those of you who do not understand this quote, it basically means that the basis of intellect is the state of how physical your body is. In this quote Kennedy states that our intellect can not function at its highest unless our body is healthy and strong. I respectively disagree. I actually believe the opposite, this meaning that if our mind can function at its highest then we will be able to perform well physically. I would love to go in about my personal views but we are not here to talk about me, right now we are here to discuss Kennedy and his views. Some examples on Kennedy's quote may include a person who pushes themselves to the limit when running a mile for their Physical Education class, they will then get a good time because they tried extremely hard. If we zoom in to the same person while they are in class we can see that they learned if they try hard they will get a good grade. So they try their best and low and behold they get a good grade. The person performed well physically, allowing their mind and intellectual ability perform at its greatest capacity.
