Memorial Day

1. Memorial day is a federal US holiday we remember the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces.
2. It is traditionally celebrated on May 30, but now is celebrated in the last Monday of May. 
3. A few ways you can show honor and respect o Memorial Day include: wearing or displaying a red poppy (which has grown to be a symbol for soldiers who had died in conflict), Pause at 3pm to reflect on the soldier's sacrifices, watch the National Memorial Day Concert, display the US flag, and/ or visit a national cemetery or memorial.

5. Fun Fact: Memorial day was first created to honor those who had died in the civil war. \
6. On Memorial Day i will not go to school to show my honor, and may watch a few parades on the news or on TV.
7. I believe Memorial Day is an important holiday because it honors those who have died while serving our country. The people who have died should be honored and remembered and I am so proud of my country for doing so. I also think that there should be more ways available to students so they can show honor and reepect to past soldiers who have already died. In this country joining the army is a stype of way to honor it. Therefore, I believe that this holiday just shows what great repect it has given the soldiers to die for america. This next thing has not much to do with the topic but i believe I should still say it.. SO yah the army is unequal to both genders and both men and women should be clearly idolized as a solcier with duties and responsibilities. So yah keep on honoring and respecting, yah heard.
