Trauma Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Trauma nurses care for people with critical, often life-threatening injuries. These can include car accidents, blunt or sharp trauma kike falls or stabbings, work accidents, electrocutions, burns, etc. Trauma nurses are also first responders of the emergency department team to care for victimsof self inflicted injuries and violent crimes. 

Salary: $47,120 to $102,990

Education:

You have to complete an entry-level nursing program to gain an associate's degree or a diploma in nursing or a 4 year college program leading to a bachelor's. Then you have to take the RN licensing exam after graduation, the NCLEX, and if you pass it you can apply for a nursing job. You can then begin nursing and finally choose to become certifies in trauma nursing.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? why? Why not? 

I would both like to and not like to be a trauma nurse. This is because I believe the job is really interesting and I would love helping other people in need, yet the job requires you to be responsible for a life, which I think is too much pressure.
