"Character is higher than intellect." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I personally believe that this quote is self explanatory. It means that character is higher or more important than intellect. So yeah an example of this is with friends. Or when you are trying to make friends and cannot because you have high intellegiance but are not nice. ANywasys anither story that goes along with this quote is when a collge basketball coach only recruits athletes with the WHOLE package. This meaning that they have: 1) Talent, 2) CHaracter, and 3) Intelligiance academically. So yeah based on the guys basketball rule character is higher than intellect, which goes along with the quote.
