Duties and Responsibilities: 

Podiatrists are physicians or surgeons that treat the foot, ankle, and other structures of the leg. They do this by diagnosing the illness, treating the injuries, and performing surgery on the lower extremeties.

Salary: $124, 830

Education: 

To become a podiatrist you need to obtain a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree. You also need to complete a 3-year residency program.

Demand for this Particular Career: 

In every state you need to be licensed to become a podiatrist. And it would help if you had qualities including: compassion, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking skills. This job is projected to grow 10% from the years 2016-2026 because of the aging population.

Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? 

I do not think I would like to be one because this job would require to work with people's feet, something I know I would not be comfortable with. I actually give applause to the podiatrists working with people's foot fungus and ingrown toe nails.
