Psychiatric Aide

Duties and Responsibiliites: 

A physchiatric aide is basically is also called a mental health assistant and they basically work with patients with mental illnesses. The work you do can vary on where it is you actually work but all in all your main duties include helping patients with their everyday activities. This may include feeding them meals or even bathing them. 

Salary: $28,170

Education: 

To be a psychaiatric aide you have to at least have a high school diploma, but there are also postsceondary programs available. 

Demand for this Particular Career:

The training needed for this job is just the on-the-job training provided when you start working. And the job outlook is to grow 5% throughout the years 2014-2024.

I do not think I would like to be one because for all the work and duties phychiatric aides have to do and provide, it still seems as they get underpaid. And i for one would not like to be a part of an underpaid community of jobs, espacially this one because they basically do the endless duties of a parent.
