Patient Representative

Duties and Responsibilities:

A patient representative assisits patients in many non-clinical ways to obtain healthcare services, understand policies and make choices. They greet and talk to patients and their families to answer questions, discuss problems, and outline solutions to health concerns.

Salary: $25,520 - $41,430

Education:

This job requires at least a highschool diploma and/or GED equivalency certificate.

To be a patient representative you need to be handy with technology and have skills in listening, writing, critical thinking speaking, acive learning, persuasion, and reading comprehension. The demand for patient representatives is expected to go up.

I do not think I would like to be one because most of this job is spent talking to patients and just working with them to get healthier. I would much rather be doing surgery or making checkups.
