Pediatrician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Pediatricians are doctors that treat, examine, and prevent diseases/injuries in patients ranging from ages in infancy to young adulthood. They are mainly trying to prevent health issues by administring vaccinations and talking to parents on how to make their child better and healthy. Some pediatricians may also administer pediatric surgery. 

Salary: $226,408

Education: 

To become a pediatrician you need either a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree. You also need to have a 3-year residency as training and be licensed and board certified.

Demand for this Particular Career:

This career is thought to grow 10% becuase of the rise in the number of children and young people. To be in this job you have to have interpersonal skills, to communicate with patients and their parents, and patience because you will be working with kids.

I do think I would like to be one because I think I have a good way with kids and babies, at least that's what people tell me. Also because I'd like to feel the satisfaction of making a child healthy. The pay isn't bad either.
